HOW TO ADD A LICENSE
Single License, Multiple Benefits
Select an extended license once—either Commercial Mini or Commercial Max—and it will apply to all items in your cart. No need for multiple licenses; one is enough to cover all your mockups, ensuring you get the best value.
Here’s How It Works:
Select Your License: Choose your desired license type from any product page.
Add to Cart: Add this license to your cart. It will automatically apply to all the mockups you purchase in the same transaction.
Add Your Products: Continue to add as many products as you need. The single license in your cart grants the appropriate rights to all these items.
Terms and Conditions for Asset Licences
Last Updated: 2 October 2026
1. Overview
These Asset Licence Terms (“Licence Terms”) govern the licensing and permitted use of digital creative assets purchased individually from Arkival Ltd (“Arkival”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By purchasing, downloading or using an Asset, you (“User” or “you”) agree to comply with these Licence Terms.
Arkival offers three retail licence tiers:
Standard Licence;
Commercial MINI Licence; and
Commercial MAX Licence.
The licence applicable to an Asset determines how that Asset may be used.
These Licence Terms apply to Assets purchased individually through the Arkival retail store. Assets accessed through an Arkival subscription are subject to the separate licence terms applicable to that subscription unless an additional commercial licence is purchased or otherwise expressly granted by Arkival.
Nothing in these Licence Terms transfers ownership of an Asset or its underlying intellectual property to you.

3. Definitions
For the purposes of these Licence Terms:
Asset or Assets means any digital creative product supplied by Arkival, including, where applicable, mockups, PSD effects, image effects, text effects, textures, vectors, illustrations, graphics, brushes, presets, templates and other downloadable creative resources.
Source File means the original Asset or any editable file supplied by Arkival, including PSD, AI, EPS or other editable or source formats.
Exported Work means a flattened, rendered or otherwise non-editable output created using an Asset, which does not provide access to the original Asset or allow the Asset to be extracted or reused independently.
User means the individual or organisation that purchases or is otherwise validly granted a licence to use an Asset.
Client means a third party for whom the User performs creative or professional services.
Project means a single identifiable creative project, campaign, brand application or body of related work undertaken for the User or a Client.
Standard Licence means the default licence supplied with an eligible individual retail Asset purchase.
Commercial MINI Licence means the additional commercial licence described in Section 7.
Commercial MAX Licence means the additional commercial licence described in Section 8.
4. Ownership and Intellectual Property
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Arkival or its licensors retain all intellectual property rights in the Assets.
Purchasing an Asset does not transfer copyright or ownership of that Asset to the User.
Instead, Arkival grants the User a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Asset within the scope of the applicable licence tier.
You may modify an Asset as reasonably necessary to create permitted work under your licence.
Except where expressly permitted by the applicable licence, you must not:
sell, redistribute, sublicense, share or transfer a Source File;
make an Asset available for download by another person;
share an Asset in a way that enables another person to extract or reuse it independently;
claim ownership or authorship of the underlying Asset;
resell an Asset, whether modified or unmodified, as a standalone asset or competing creative resource;
include a Source File in another product, template, library or resource where the original Asset can be extracted or reused;
use an Asset to create a directly competing stock asset, mockup, template, resource pack or other product intended primarily to redistribute the Asset or a substantially similar reproduction of it; or
otherwise exploit an Asset outside the scope of the licence purchased.
Source Files must not be supplied to Clients unless Arkival has expressly authorised this or the Client has obtained the appropriate licence.
Where Client use is permitted, the User may provide the Client with an Exported Work to the extent permitted by the applicable licence.
5. Licence Overview
Every eligible Asset purchased individually through the Arkival retail store includes a Standard Licence unless otherwise stated on the relevant product page.
Where broader commercial rights are required, a Commercial MINI or Commercial MAX Licence must be purchased.
Where Arkival permits a Commercial MINI or Commercial MAX Licence to be added to a basket containing multiple eligible Assets, that licence applies to the eligible Assets included in that same transaction, subject to the limits of the selected licence tier.
A commercial licence does not grant ownership of an Asset and does not permit redistribution of Source Files.
The scope of each licence is set out below.
Standard Licence
6. Standard Licence
6.1 Users
The Standard Licence is intended for individuals and sole traders using Assets for their own personal, portfolio or in-house purposes.
The licence is granted to the purchasing User and must not be shared with other individuals, businesses or organisations.
6.2 Permitted Use
Subject to these Licence Terms, the Standard Licence permits:
personal projects;
the User’s own website;
the User’s own organic social media;
portfolios and case studies;
blogs;
internal or in-house creative work; and
Client presentations, pitches and concept development where the Asset is used only to present or demonstrate proposed creative work.
6.3 Client Use
The Standard Licence does not permit an Asset to be used in final published or commercial Client work.
This means that, unless a suitable Commercial Licence has been obtained, an Asset may not be used in final Client:
websites;
social media content;
advertising;
marketing campaigns;
commercial publications;
products;
packaging; or
other final commercial applications.
Client presentation use is permitted, provided only Exported Works are supplied and no Source File is transferred.
6.4 Restrictions
The Standard Licence does not permit:
paid advertising;
commercial promotional activity undertaken for a Client;
products created for resale;
redistribution or resale of an Asset;
sublicensing;
Source File sharing; or
use outside the scope described above.
6.5 Duration
The Standard Licence is perpetual for the Asset as purchased, subject to compliance with these Licence Terms.
Commercial MINI Licence
7. Commercial MINI Licence
7.1 Users
The Commercial MINI Licence is intended for small to medium-sized businesses, studios and agencies.
It permits use by individuals working within the same licensed organisation for the licensed Project.
The licence must not be shared with separate businesses, contractors, Clients or unrelated organisations unless expressly permitted by Arkival.
7.2 Projects
The Commercial MINI Licence permits use of the licensed Assets for one Project.
7.3 Client Use
For the licensed Project:
use on one Client’s organic social media account is permitted;
Exported Works may be supplied to the Client; and
the Asset may be incorporated into the permitted final work.
Unless otherwise expressly agreed, the Commercial MINI Licence does not permit:
paid advertising on behalf of the Client;
Client website use;
Client resale products;
transfer of Source Files to the Client; or
use across additional Client Projects.
Where broader rights are required, the Commercial MAX Licence or another appropriate licence must be obtained.
7.4 Advertising
Digital advertising associated with the licensed Project is permitted up to an aggregate limit of 750,000 impressions.
7.5 Print Use
The Commercial MINI Licence permits production of up to 10,000 physical printed items incorporating the licensed Asset, such as cards, stationery and other printed materials, provided those items are not offered for resale unless expressly permitted by Arkival.
7.6 Self-Promotion
The User may use Exported Works incorporating the Asset in:
presentations and pitches;
press and publicity;
the User’s own website;
the User’s own organic social media;
newsletters;
portfolios;
case studies; and
blogs.
7.7 Duration
The Commercial MINI Licence is perpetual for the licensed Asset and Project, subject to compliance with these Licence Terms.
Commercial MAX Licence
8. Commercial MAX Licence
8.1 Users
The Commercial MAX Licence is intended for larger businesses, studios and agencies requiring broader commercial rights.
It permits use by individuals working within the same licensed organisation.
The licence does not permit Source Files to be distributed to Clients, separate companies or unrelated third parties unless expressly authorised by Arkival.
8.2 Projects
The Commercial MAX Licence permits use of the licensed Assets across unlimited Projects undertaken by the licensed User or organisation, subject to the remaining restrictions in these Licence Terms.
8.3 Client Use
The Commercial MAX Licence permits final Client use, including:
Client websites;
Client organic social media;
paid Client advertising;
digital marketing campaigns; and
other commercial Client applications permitted by this licence.
Unlimited Client social media accounts may use final Exported Works incorporating the Asset.
Source Files must not be transferred to Clients.
8.4 Advertising
The Commercial MAX Licence permits digital advertising, including social media advertising, search advertising, display advertising and boosted content, without the Commercial MINI impression limit.
8.5 Print and Physical Products
The Commercial MAX Licence permits unlimited print runs for non-resale applications.
Where an Asset is incorporated into a physical end product intended for resale, production is permitted up to 1,000,000 units, provided:
the Asset forms part of a wider finished design;
the Asset itself is not the primary value of the product; and
the original Asset or Source File cannot be extracted, accessed or redistributed from the finished product.
8.6 Extended Commercial Use
The Commercial MAX Licence permits use in:
out-of-home advertising, including billboards and posters;
commercial campaigns;
digital products such as apps or games where the Asset forms part of a wider finished product and cannot be extracted or redistributed; and
other commercial applications falling within the scope of this licence.
Where an Asset is incorporated into a digital product, app, game or comparable commercial product, the organisation using the Asset must have annual turnover not exceeding £5 million, unless Arkival has agreed otherwise in writing.
8.7 Duration
The Commercial MAX Licence is perpetual, subject to compliance with these Licence Terms.
Terms Applying to All Licence Tiers
9. Asset Delivery and Accounts
Assets may be delivered or made accessible using services operated by Arkival or its service providers, including through download links, customer accounts, Google Drive or other digital delivery systems.
The User is responsible for maintaining the security of their account and any private download links provided to them.
Download links, accounts and Source Files must not be shared with unauthorised persons.
The technical method by which Arkival delivers an Asset does not alter the scope of the licence granted.
10. Subscription Assets
Assets accessed or downloaded through an Arkival subscription are governed by the licence terms applicable to that subscription.
Purchasing a subscription does not automatically grant a Commercial MINI or Commercial MAX Licence.
Where a subscriber wishes to use an Asset beyond the rights included with their subscription, they must obtain the appropriate additional commercial licence or retail Asset licence where required.
11. Discount Codes and Promotions
Discount codes and promotional offers are subject to any specific conditions stated when they are issued.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
discount codes may not be combined;
a discount code may be restricted to one use per customer;
discount codes have no cash value;
promotional offers may apply only to eligible products or licences; and
Arkival may refuse or cancel the use of a discount code where it has been obtained, distributed or used fraudulently or contrary to its stated conditions.
12. Digital Content, Cancellations and Refunds
Arkival supplies digital content that is generally made available for access or download shortly after purchase.
Where applicable, before immediate supply of digital content begins, consumers may be asked to expressly consent to supply beginning during the statutory cancellation period and to acknowledge that they will lose their statutory right to cancel once supply has begun.
Where those requirements have been satisfied and digital content has begun to be supplied, the statutory right to cancel may no longer apply.
Because digital Assets cannot ordinarily be returned once supplied, Arkival does not generally offer refunds for change of mind after an Asset has been accessed or downloaded where the applicable cancellation right has been lost.
Nothing in these Licence Terms excludes or limits any statutory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where digital content is faulty, not as described, or otherwise does not conform to the contract, consumers may have rights and remedies under applicable consumer law.
If you experience a problem with an Asset, please contact Arkival so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, provide a remedy.
13. Licence Compliance
Arkival may reasonably request information where it has legitimate grounds to believe that an Asset is being used outside the scope of the applicable licence.
Where reasonably necessary to investigate a suspected material licence violation, the User agrees to provide sufficient information to demonstrate compliance.
Arkival will not require access to confidential Client materials beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish whether the relevant licence terms have been complied with.
Where a material violation is established, Arkival may require the User to:
cease the unauthorised use;
obtain the appropriate licence;
remove unlawfully distributed Source Files; and/or
take other reasonable steps to remedy the violation.
Arkival reserves all rights and remedies available under applicable law in relation to infringement, unauthorised distribution or other material breaches.
14. Prohibited Uses
Regardless of licence tier, you must not use an Asset:
unlawfully;
in a way that infringes the intellectual property or other rights of another person;
for resale or redistribution as a standalone digital asset;
in a manner that allows another person to extract or access the Source File;
to create a directly competing stock asset or downloadable resource substantially derived from the Asset;
as part of a trademark, service mark or other registered proprietary identifier where doing so would claim exclusive rights over the underlying Asset; or
in any other manner expressly prohibited on the relevant Asset’s product page.
15. Third-Party Content
Certain Assets may contain or depict third-party names, brands, trademarks, artwork, locations, products or other material used for illustrative purposes.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the purchase of an Asset does not grant rights in third-party intellectual property depicted within it.
The User is responsible for ensuring that their final use of an Asset does not infringe third-party rights and for obtaining any additional permissions that may be required for their intended use.
16. Termination of a Licence
A licence may be terminated where the User materially breaches these Licence Terms and, where the breach is capable of remedy, fails to remedy it within a reasonable period after being notified.
A licence may be terminated immediately in cases involving deliberate unauthorised redistribution, resale, sublicensing or other serious infringement of Arkival’s intellectual property rights.
Termination does not affect rights or liabilities that arose before termination.
17. Liability
Nothing in these Licence Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to those rights, Arkival is not responsible for losses caused by use of an Asset outside the scope of the applicable licence or contrary to these Licence Terms.
Business Users are responsible for determining whether an Asset and the applicable licence are suitable for their intended commercial use.
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Licence Terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory rights you have under the laws applicable to you, and nothing in these Licence Terms prevents you from bringing proceedings in a court available to you under applicable consumer law.
If you are acting in the course of business, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Licence Terms.
19. Changes to These Licence Terms
Arkival may update these Licence Terms from time to time to reflect changes to its products, licensing model, business practices or applicable law.
An updated version will apply to purchases made after the updated terms take effect.
Unless required by law or expressly agreed with the User, changes to these Licence Terms will not retrospectively reduce the licence rights already granted in relation to an Asset purchased under an earlier version.
The version of the Licence Terms applicable at the time of purchase will govern that purchase.
20. General Terms
If any provision of these Licence Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
A failure by Arkival to enforce a provision of these Licence Terms does not waive its right to enforce that provision or any other provision later.
No person other than Arkival and the User has any right to enforce these Licence Terms except where applicable law provides otherwise.
